Rock It Resell is a consignment boutique with two stores on Portland's west side: Cedar Mill, at 12640 NW Cornell Rd in Portland, and downtown Hillsboro, at 125 SE 3rd Ave. We don't buy clothes or handbags outright. You consign them with us: we price your pieces and put them out for sale, and you earn 40% of the sale price when they sell.
Here's how consigning designer clothing and handbags with us works, start to finish.
Drop-offs are open to existing consigners from the 1st through the 21st of every month. New consigner drop-offs are paused until the new year. New to Rock It Resell? Sign up on our new consigner page and we'll email you when first-time drop-offs reopen.
How Does Consignment Work at Rock It Resell?
Consignment means we sell your items for you and share the sale with you. There's no cash at drop-off, and we're not a buy/sell/trade shop.
- Book your first drop-off. Your first visit is a booked appointment at one of our stores. We go through your pieces with you, and we open your consigner account when we can take the majority of what you brought.
- We price your items. Accepted pieces are priced from resale market data and go out on our sales floor, and many are listed online too.
- You earn 40% when your item sells. Your share lands in your account 10 days after the sale.
- Keep consigning. After your first visit, drop-offs run the 1st through the 21st of every month, with up to two Rock It Resell bags. No appointment needed.
Do I Need an Appointment to Consign?
Only the first time. Your first drop-off is a booked appointment so we can walk you through how it works. After that, bring your bags in any day from the 1st through the 21st of the month.
Golden Ticket consigners, who keep a 75% acceptance rate across three or more drop-offs, can drop off any time of the month.
What Are the Consignment Terms?
- Your share: 40% of the final sale price.
- Consignment period: 90 days, starting the month after you drop off.
- Getting paid: your share is available 10 days after a sale. Cash it out by check between the 1st and 21st of the month ($25 minimum), or spend it in either store. You can cash out by check for up to one year after your last sale. After that, your balance stays with you as store credit, with no expiration.
- If an item doesn't sell: unsold items priced under $50 become Rock It Resell's at the end of the 90 days, and many are donated to local nonprofits. Items priced at $50 or more are yours to pick up before day 90. If they aren't picked up in time, they also become Rock It Resell's.

Where Can I Consign Designer Handbags in Portland?
Rock It Resell takes designer handbags, wallets, and small leather goods at both our Cedar Mill and Hillsboro stores. A bag is ready to consign when it's:
- ✓ Clean inside and out, with no ink marks, stains, or odors.
- ✓ Structurally sound, with straps, handles, and corners free of cracking or peeling.
- ✓ Fully working, with zippers, clasps, and closures that do their job.
Still have the dust bag, a detachable strap, or authenticity cards? Bring them along. They help your bag sell.

How Do You Authenticate Designer Items?
Every luxury, designer, and high-value piece we accept has to be authentic. Our team checks each one by hand, looking at details like hardware markings, serial and date codes, stitching, and linings.
If you have proof of authenticity, bring it with you. If you don't, the item goes through our authentication, which carries a $30 fee:
- If it's authentic, we cover the fee and you pay nothing.
- If it isn't, the $30 fee is charged to your consigner account.
Do You Take Designer Clothing and Shoes?
Yes. We take freshly washed, in-season women's and men's clothing, shoes, and accessories at both stores, from everyday favorites like Lululemon, Madewell, and Patagonia to designer pieces. Kids' clothing, shoes, and toys are welcome at our Cedar Mill store.
Everything should be clean, free of stains and pilling, and in season. Your 90-day consignment period starts the month after you drop off, so bring pieces that are right for the season ahead.

Both stores take women's and men's items. Kids' items go to Cedar Mill only.

No. Rock It Resell is a consignment store, not a buy/sell/trade shop. You earn 40% of the sale price when your item sells.
Can I consign online or by mail?
No. Drop-offs happen in person at our Cedar Mill and Hillsboro stores.
Do you take furniture or home goods?
No. Neither store takes home goods on consignment.
How much can I bring?
Up to two Rock It Resell bags. We give you fresh bags at drop-off for next time.
What can't I consign?
- Previously worn socks and undergarments. If a drop-off includes them, the whole drop-off is donated, so please sort carefully.
- Fast fashion, including Shein, Temu, and store brands from Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
- Anything stained, pilled, stretched out, or damaged.
